Historical Presentations
The story of Marie Louise Brent (Artist, Volunteer, War Correspondent, Mask Studio Director, French Medal of Honor Recipient) is a compelling one. We are taken back to World War I to witness the creative, courageous and determined contributions of an American woman. Marie Louise Brent dedicated herself, along with many others, to healing and helping the French wounded soldiers and French people. From handing out comfort bags at Gare du Nord, to taking supply trucks to the front, to working in the famous mask studio with Anna Coleman Ladd, Marie Louise was on a mission to serve others.
Now, more than ever, Marie Louise Brent’s life demonstrates so clearly what acts of kindness, big and small, can do to change the world.
Come hear this amazing story, as told by her great grand niece, as she reads Brent’s letters chronicling WWl and her work in the mask studio.
